CIDESCO, the World Standard for Beauty and Spa Therapy, has
launched three new individual certificates to cater to market
demand.
The certificates are designed to appeal to the growing number
of students keen to develop and progress in specific areas and
develop particular skills. There will be a Certificate in
Skincare, a Certificate in Aesthetics and a Certificate in Body
Therapy to provide students with the means to succeed in a
competitive industry.
CIDESCO President, Anna-Cari Gund, says: “Educational systems
are different in each country and we need to be more flexible
in order to meet the future. We are pleased to be launching the
three new Certificates, which will open up our membership to
many new therapists who want to specialise in one area of
beauty but still achieve an advanced level of training.”
The Certificate in Skincare includes facials, facial electrical
therapy, day, night and bridal make-up. The Certificate in
Aesthetics incorporates facials, facial electrical therapy,
day, night and bridal make-up, waxing and hair removal
techniques, manicures and pedicures. The certificate in Body
Therapy covers body analysis, pre-treatments, body electricals
and full body massage. Each certificate counts towards Beauty
Therapy Diploma.
