The Gleddoch hotel, golf and spa resort has unveiled a
major transformation following a multi-million pound
refurbishment
The 75-room hotel, which is 15 minutes from Glasgow, has
revealed a new luxurious spa complete with a 17-metre swimming
pool.
The Imperia spa offers eight treatment rooms, indoor and
outdoor hot tubs, a sauna and steam room, and a relaxation
room. Treatments are provided by Elemis and Scottish product
house ishga, from the Isle of Lewis. There is also a gym.
Gleddoch’s director, Richard Johal, says: ‘Gleddoch has been an
old favourite for decades, attracting thousands of guests and
hosting countless events over the years, so it holds fond
memories for many people. We saw a great opportunity to breathe
new life into the hotel and spa. Former guests will recognise
the hotel they loved, but it’s been brought up to scratch and
now has all of the amenities expected of a top four-star
establishment.’
Originally built as the family home of Sir William Lithgow in
the 1920s, Gleddoch has an illustrious past and has welcomed
many high-profile visitors including the Queen and other
royalty.
